Packstation Lookup

Packstation Lookup adds a DHL pickup point finder directly into your Shopify checkout. Customers can search for nearby Packstations, Paketshops and Postfilialen, pick one from an interactive map, and have the address applied automatically — no manual entry, no typos.

Why Packstation Lookup?

Over 60 million Germans are registered with DHL. Many prefer collecting parcels from a Packstation or Paketshop rather than waiting at home. Without an easy way to enter a pickup address, customers abandon checkout or enter addresses incorrectly.

Packstation Lookup solves this by embedding the search directly where it matters — at checkout.

Key features

  • Three location types — Packstations, Paketshops and Postfilialen, all searchable from one interface.
  • Interactive map — Results are plotted on a Google Map so customers can visually pick the closest location.
  • Postnummer validation — Optional client-side and DHL API validation of the customer’s Postnummer before the address is applied.
  • Address guard — Prevents customers from manually editing the populated pickup address, avoiding silent delivery failures.
  • Delivery customisation — Automatically labels shipping options (e.g. “Lieferung an Packstation 186”) so customers see exactly where their parcel is going.
  • Fully translatable — Ships with German and English translations out of the box.
  • Merchant settings — Configure field mapping, Postnummer requirements, and validation behaviour from the Shopify admin.

Quick start

  1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Open the app in your Shopify admin and confirm the checkout extension is enabled.
  3. Customers will see a “DHL Pickup Point” section at checkout with a button to search for locations.
